The 2023 senior high school selection process which began today September 18, 2023, will continue throughout the week to Friday, September 22, 2023.
The exercise is being held at various Junior High School (JHS) premises for all JHS graduates.
The Central Regional Coordinator of Free SHS, Katakyie Kwame Opoku Agyemang has therefore urged parents to accompany their wards to their various JHS schools to assist them through the school selection process.
He insists that all must endeavour to follow the laid down instructions they need to oblige to.
Kwame Opoku Agyemang elaborated on the process that, students have to make two placements in which the 1st placement involves selecting six schools and the 2nd placement, the selection of five schools.
he emphasized that “Students should choose one ‘A’ school, two ‘B’ schools, two ‘C’ schools and one school from any of the categories for the 1st placement; then you come to the 2nd placement to choose the other five schools to make eleven”. Katakyie said.
However, he notes that the schools selected in the 2nd placement should not be a repeat of the selection made in the 1st placement.
Katakyie Agyemang also stressed that the selection should be done wisely and accordingly.
He says failure to follow these instructions could lead to individuals facing challenges that defy solutions in the outcome of their school placement.
Mr Katakyie Agyemang also made public the contact line 0547851100 for individuals who may need assistance in the school selection process.
