A Qnet agent was reportedly shot to death at Kwasi Larbi, a village in the Eastern Region‘s Suhum municipality.
The incident, according to residents and the Kwasi Larbi Electoral Area Assembly man, occurred Saturday evening.
According to the Assemblyman, the Qnet agents, numbering four, were spotted by businessman Otoo Acquah around his unwalled house.
They were said to be looking for ripe pears on a pear tree in the house.
Uncertain of their identities, he allegedly fired a gunshot at one of them, who had been told by the businessman to get down from the pear tree.
According to unconfirmed accounts, the guy reportedly shot the Qnet agent because he accused him of breaking into his house unlawfully to steal his iron rods.

Out of panic, the other Qnet agents left the scene to report to their superiors.
Several of the Qnet agents lurk around some communities in the Eastern Region to feed themselves after failed business promises from their leaders.
The body of the agent who was shot has been sent to the Suhum Government Hospital.
The businessman who shot the Qnet agent is being investigated by authorities.
