The School of Physical Sciences of the University of Cape Coast has held its annual Dean’s awards ceremony to recognize and award deserving students.
The award ceremony was held with the aim of motivating students to aspire to higher academic excellence.
The School of Physical sciences Annual Dean’s award ceremony is organized during the first semester of every academic year to encourage and recognize brilliant students who have worked hard to attain a firm footing in academic excellence.
Students including foreign students from levels 200, 300, and level 400 of the school were awarded for their outstanding academic performances over the year.
Speaking on behalf of the Provost of the School of Physical Sciences, the College Finance Officer, Mad. Kate Sam expressed that students should prioritize their time by involving in productive work since it will help them to excel in their end-of-semester exams.
She advised students to not wait till the revision period before making good use of their lesson notes and learning materials.
She further emphasized the need for students to put cohabitation aside while prioritizing their studies since it will aid them to become responsible adults upon completion of their tertiary education.
“So why waste your time on relationship matters when you have to study? It can make or unmake you when you go home and ask your parents about the struggles, they go through with their relationship, it will be too much for you to combine it with studies” she advised.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with ATLFM NEWS, an awardee, and a level 300 information and technology student, Mumuni Samdi encouraged his colleagues to be relentless in their studies and make time for lectures and group studies.
According to him, this strategy will help them to soar higher in their academics and give them a chance to raise their CGPA with ease.
