The Chief Executive Officer of Tobinco Pharmaceuticals, Samuel Amo Tobin with his wife Mrs Araba Sika Tobin have constructed a three-storey teacher’s flat of 6 units with two bedrooms each for the Wesley Girls High School.

The edifice which was constructed in honour of their two daughters who are currently old girls of the school was fully funded by the Tobins.

The ultra-modern facility which is to help improve the accommodation of staff on campus will serve as a residence for six of the teachers.

Speaking to ATL FM NEWS during a ceremony held for the Tobins to hand over the project to the Wesley Girls High School, the two daughters in whose honour the flat was built said the project is their way of thanking the school for the impact it made in their lives while they were students.

Abigail Tobin who completed in 2018 spoke to the news team and said “I learnt a lot through the three-year journey; I grew as a person, and things that I learnt, I’m carrying it on. So this is just a way to show my appreciation and to basically just say thank you to the Wesley Girls High school”

The facility she said is to augment an old teacher’s flat and the Tobins decided to build it upon request from the headmistress.

We’ve had five girls from our family come here as we decided to take it up as a project. The sod cutting was in August 2021, so almost less than a year we put up this building at full speed in order to do it before Mrs Kay finishes her tenure in the next two weeks.” Abigail Tobin added.

Some staff of the school could not hide their joy at the kind gesture shown to them by Tobins.

According to them, this will help the staff to always be available at the school premises to help the students where needed and also continue to ensure discipline among the students on campus.
