Actor Ekow Blankson has passed on. He was 50.
He was admitted to the hospital on Sunday following a brief illness and died on Monday morning.
The circumstances surrounding his death are unknown at this time, however colleagues such as renowned highlife performer Rex Omar and stakeholders in the creative business have begun to pay respect.
The late actor was born on March 16, 1972, and he made his mark on Ghanaian media.
Ekow Blankson received acclaim for his performances in films such as Borga, Frozen Emotion, Savannah, In April, Checkmate, Illusions, A Woman Scorned, Pool Party, and Famous.

He has worked on school-related projects, including a Lords Production of GH Schools on the film Breath Vengeance, for which he was nominated for Best Adult Male Role at the GH Student’s Movie Awards.
Aside acting, Mr Blankson was the Commercial Manager of Ghanaweb.
He also worked for Multimedia Broadcasting Company, where he held roles such as Director of Brands, Corporate Communications, and General Manager of Luv FM and Nhyira FM in Kumasi, as well as TV Africa and Media General Ghana Limited.
Ekow passed away on October 3, 2022.
