The Traditional Leadership of the Asebu Kingdom led by its Paramount Queen mother Nana Amenfiwaah III has cut the sod for the commencement of the construction of the Dr. Jackson International School and Entrepreneurship Academy.
This entrepreneurial School is the first of its kind in the Central Region and aims at training the people of Putubiw in Asebu and its environs as well as all prospective students with entrepreneur skills to create and manage more jobs.
The Asebu Kingdom for many years has been touted the cradle of civilization in Ghana but unfortunately has nothing to show in terms of financial development and jobs for its residents, hence the need to develop the entrepreneurial skills of its teaming youth.
Speaking to ATL FM NEWS during the sod-cutting, the newly enstooled Development Chief of Asebu Putubiw and the main sponsor for the project Nana Etsiaah III formerly called, Dr Kevin Jackson said his motivation was to give back to community what he had received form the community.
“This is just the beginning and there is much more to come. I vision a sedum developed in this area because we have the people resources and now the other resources will come as a result so that’s what I have been commissioned to do and that’s what I will do.
Paramount Queen mother of Asebu, Nana Amenfiwaah III expressed her appreciation to Nana Etsiaah III (nee Dr Kevin Jackson) for thinking about the development of the area and bringing the school to the community to benefit all.
She said “we having a school in our community today is going to help a lot so it’s something unique for me. I don’t want to make a promise but it is not my strength it is Lord’s doing and I pray that he gives you that strength and knowledge to be able to do more”.
A durbar was later held in honor of the Dr. Kevin Jackson for the philanthropic works he has been doing for the area.
