The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration welcomed the 12th batch of seventeen (17) extra Ghanaian nationals at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
As of 3:00 p.m. on March 9, 2022, the total number of evacuees was 210.
According to the Ministry, the government has put procedures in place to protect their mental health, and efforts are being made to ensure their education continues.
Dr. Kwaku Brobbey Asenso, a Psychiatrist from the Mental Health Association, briefed the students about the plans in place to assist them cope with the psychological trauma caused by the war in Ukraine.
