The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed Ghanaian Nationals residing in Ukraine to safely take shelter as a result of the unresolved conflicts between Russia and Ukraine.
This direction was after Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a wide-Scale, Pre-dawn attack against Ukraine on Thursday.
News sighted by ATLFMNEWS on BBC indicates that “Russian forces have launched a major military assault on Ukraine, with reports of missile strikes and explosions near major cities.”
BBC’s verification of the video of the attack shows that an airport in Western Ukraine was hit by a Russian missile.
According to reports, people have been trying to flee the capital of Ukraine Kyiv with the major of the capital, Vitaly Klitschko also declaring an emergency for the capital beginning midnight local time.
This is expected to include a curfew if necessary, a special entry and exit regime, and the restriction of the movement of vehicles if need be.
Currently, civilians in Ukraine are getting trained to resist any possible invasion by the Russians.
