The winner of the Best Rapper category at the just ended Central Music Awards 20&21, Kojo Vypa has mentioned that he felt really hurt after losing the opportunity to win his first award to contemporary, Lokal Shock in the previous edition.
Kojo Vypa describing his emotions on the Metro Mix show hosted by Mani Kay and Emmy Kaffy, mentioned that three years ago, he had lost the Best rapper category to Teephlow, and had therefore wished to make amends the following year.
However, things didn’t go as planned as he also lost to Lokal Shock the following year. In the last edition, before the Covid-19 pandemic ravished things in the entertainment sector, Kojo Vypa also lost to Lokal Shock, something he describes in the local pidgin parlance as having pained him.
“I really wanted it. It was like a dream, like a reality. It was like I was still dreaming… Yea, last year, I lost to Lokal. Herr, that one *e really go me* bro. I felt like I really worked hard for that and everybody was also saying yea, this is for you Kojo and everybody was complaining about it, they were like this is for you Kojo” he added.
