The head of the marketing Unit at the Campus Broadcasting Services Centre, Jonathan Donkor and the twin brother, Jonah Donkor, Saturday donated assorted items to the Human Service trust Ghana, a community care and venerable centre in cape coast.
The items included cases of soft drinks, packets of toilet rolls, bags of sachet water, a carton of tasty tom tomato mix, rice, bags of second-hand clothing and mathematical sets.
The donation to the Centre, which formed part of the twin’s birthday celebration, was to put a smile on the vulnerable children’s faces and assure them that society had not ignored them but cared about their welfare.
Human Service trust Ghana is a Non–Governmental Organization dedicated to improving the lives of children, with a special focus on vulnerable and orphaned children.
The trust visits schools to raise awareness on issues such as teenage pregnancy, child marriage, reproductive health, quality education, and immunization.
Offering them advice as young ones growing up, Mr Donkor encouraged them to learn hard and have positive thoughts all the time adding that “they should see their place of abode as a stepping stone to achieve greatness.
The Executive Director of Human Service Trust, Mrs Nancy Akorful thanked the twins for the kind gesture and urged corporate bodies, philanthropists, and the public to come to their aid to complete its training centre for the children to acquire skill training alongside their main academic work.
The twin will also present mathematical sets to BECE candidates of St. Andrews Anglican Basic School at Taido, Brimsu and Philip Quaque Boys School at cape Coast.
