Lawyer for the Cape Coast-based club Ebusua Dwarfs, Mr. Soloman Faakye has disclosed that the club is putting things in place to put injunction on the Ghana Premier League.
According to the lawyer, there is a pending issue that needs to be solved before the league can start properly. He said the verdict on the issue of the match-fixing scandal of Obuasi AshGold and inter Allies is yet to be out so he doesn’t understand why the league should commence.

He said;
” We all know what happened in Ghana football last season when AshGold and Inter Allies played and Inter Allies deliberately scored themselves 2 goals. Ghana football Association disclosed they had started an investigation, CID also intervened and the case was presented to GFA’s disciplinary committee, so one would have expected that the investigation will be done and the verdict will come out before the commencement of the League. As of now, nothing is out but AshGold’s name is part of the participating teams”.
He further said that he doesn’t see why the League should feature AshGold whiles the verdict is yet to be pronounced.
”We have presented a petition to the FA, so if by Monday (1-11-21) nothing is done by the FA, we will proceed our actions” says: Lawyer Solomon Faakye.
