The central regional office of the National Insurance Commission on Thursday led a team of insurance officers from the various insurance companies in Cape Coast to donate blood to support the National Blood Bank.
The blood donation exercise according to the National Insurance commission (NIC) was initiated following an appeal by the National Blood Service to the commission to help stock the blood bank.
Speaking in an interview with ATL FM NEWS as she took the lead to donate blood, the Central Regional Manager of the National Insurance Commission Nicholina Naa Yeye Ladzekpom, reiterated the importance of blood and the need for all to join hands to volunteer to donate blood for the blood bank which is always in need.

“It’s a national call to donate blood. Blood is life and when you donate blood you save lives.” She emphasized.
She also indicated that the exercise will continue in other parts of the region subsequently adding that it is clarion call to all individuals to play their role in donating blood.
