Prof (Mrs.) Sarah Darkwa, Dean of the School of Graduate Studies at the University of Cape Coast, has encouraged Graduate Students to strive for academic excellence as they continue their studies.
According to her, although they may be involved in extracurricular activities such as that of the Graduate School’s Senate, that should not hinder them from working hard in their studies so as to achieve success.
“As graduate students, I know most of you have your own responsibilities elsewhere before joining the graduate school but you should always remember that you are here for a purpose; Don’t lose that purpose. Joining the Senate is good because you will learn a lot and it is good for your CV. Always remember that in order to get the full fulfillment of being part of the Senate, your transcript should look good and you should have a certificate.” She said.
She, therefore, encourage the graduate students to work hard and ensure to meet deadlines in other for them to have the required skills to be focused and achieve success when they leave the university.
Prof (Mrs.) Sarah Darkwa was speaking at the GRASAG-UCC Senate’s second sitting of the second semester of the 2020/2021 Academic year held last Friday to discuss issues that will help promote the wellbeing of graduate students on the UCC campus.
