It has been revealed that the accused murderer of a police officer in Damango, Savannah Region, wrote a note on the wall with the phrase “We love together, we die together” scrawled in blood.
The cop was discovered dead in a pool of blood on August 2 with wounds suspected to be knife stabs.
The boyfriend, who is accused of murdering the lady, is being pursued by the police. According to residents, a disagreement occurred between the boyfriend and another guy, thought to be a military commander, with whom the former suspected of having an amorous affair before the police constable’s murder.
Inspector Agyekum Owusu, Public Relations Officer for the Savannah Regional Police, stated, “When we entered the room, we found an inscription written on the wall with the blood of the woman saying we love together and will die together.”
Second, on Sunday evening, the boyfriend informed the other tenants in the house that he is accompanying the woman to Kumasi, and that the lady has gone to town to purchase some things, and he is following suit.”
According to Savannah police, a sequence of circumstances has led to the boyfriend being named as the main suspect in this case.
“So, if we witness this terrible act being committed on Monday morning, we can only suspect the boyfriend.
“Another evidence is that the person who murdered the woman attempted to hang himself, regrettably; the ceiling fan detached from the ceiling, thus all of these factors point to the boyfriend being the perpetrator,” disclosed.
According to the police report, the killer locked the door to the room after committing the crime.
Other tenants, mainly student nurses, were not present. Inspector Agyekum Owusu, on the other hand, said that one other tenant who was in the house observed the boyfriend’s odd behavior but did not anticipate the guy to kill the girlfriend.
“The only tenant who was in the house suspected something: the guy would come out and look around and enter the room. Anytime he comes out he will lock the trap door so she suspected something”.
