Rapper and song writer, Eno Barony says she is no longer going to pick up lyrical beef with any musician because she wants to focus on her work.
Speaking in an interview on ATL FM’s Metromix, she disclosed to host, Desmond Okraku Danso that she currently has an agenda to work on, hence leaving her with little interest for dissing other musicians.
“I’m not all about dissing, my battle days are over”, she said.
According to her she started engaging in dissing way back before she came into lime light, however, following events in the past few weeks she has decided to pay no attention to dissing, which do not make lasting impact.
“People thought I was going to dis but I was like no, let me just put in something that is going to go along not just about beef because I’m not all about beef, I’m all about my work.”
The rapper has been involved in a beef with Ghanaian recording music artiste Sista Afia for some weeks now. The two have been engaged in a media battle of claiming best female rapper in Ghana.
Among one of her “beefing” raps is ‘Argument done’ which struck some controversy between herself and Medikal.
Touching on the challenges in the industry, she noted there is little acknowledgment and show slots for female rappers in Ghana.
She also called on government to support the creative arts industry particularly music, because it could reduce unemployment.
According to the rapper, there seems to be more talented individuals who need support to pursue their dreams but are currently unable to, due to a number of constraints.
“If government actually invests in that side of our arts, it’s even going to bring down unemployment and the pressure on government to be creating jobs, because that is also a job on its own. One person being in the limelight creates jobs for about fifty (50) people”, she said.
