Rosemond Alade Brown, alias Akuapem Poloo, an actress, is scheduled to go on trial on April 14th,2021 at an Accra Circuit Court. She is accused of posting a nude photo of herself and her son on social media.
Rosemond and her solicitor, Mr Andy Vortia, had been in court for a case management meeting.
Mrs. Christina Cann, the court’s presided over by, confirmed that the testimony of defense witness Mr Bright Appiah, Executive Director of Child Rights International, would be taken at the next sitting, and that the case investigator would also install the witness box.
Mr Vortia prayed for a lengthy adjournment since his client will be traveling to Nigeria to work on a film project.
Rosemond gave the court a screenshot of the contract on her computer as the court requested it.
The document was not signed, according to the court.
Rosemond went on to say that she had left a signed copy at home.
The court was also told by Defense Attorney that his client wished to amend her plea from not guilty to guilty.
Rosemond, a social media personality, has been charged with indecent content publication and two charges of domestic assault.
She, on the other hand, has dismissed the allegations and is being kept on a GH100,000 bail.
The judge, Police Chief Inspector Agartha Asantewaa, advised the Court that the new date was appropriate.
The argument is that the defendant, Mr. Bright K. Appiah, is the Director of Child Rights International Ghana, as previously reported by the prosecutor.
According to the prosecutor, Rosemond marked her son’s seventh birthday on June 30 last year by taking nude photographs of her son, who was also half naked, and sharing them on her Instagram profile, which went viral.

The images drew outrage, with some alleging that the convicted person’s behavior degraded the integrity of her seven-year-old son and others.
The prosecution said the complainant petitioned the Director-General CID and the matter was referred to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU).
Rosemond was convicted, according to the prosecutors, and confessed unintentionally sharing the naked photo of her son in her caution statement.
“I am nude in front of you because this is how naked I was giving birth to you, so in case you see me lying anywhere, don’t pass me by but see me as your mother who brought you to life,” the caption added.
Rosemond reportedly uploaded the photographs on purpose, according to the indictment.
