A horrific accident at Gomoa Antseadze on the Cape Coast to Accra route has sadly claimed the lives of seven individuals.
Eight additional victims, including an infant, were injured in varying degrees and taken to Mankessim and St. Luke’s Catholic Hospital in Apam for treatment.

The driver of a Sprinter Benz bus with the license plate GW 7920-22 and the driver of another Sprinter bus were racing on the road, according to ACFO Ankomah Nuamah of the Apam District Fire Service.
He revealed that during the race, one of the drivers lost control, leading the car to somersault multiple times before hitting a tree on the side of the road.
At 2000 hours, a bystander who had seen the accident reported it to the Apam Fire Station. A rescue crew was sent to the spot, and survivors were rescued from the devastation.
The dead have since been handed over to the Ghana Police Service to be deposited at a morgue.
They include three females and four males.
