Parliament is expected to have a headcount vote on the adoption of the 2024 budget today, December 7, 2023.
After the conclusion of the discussion, the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, called a voice vote in favor of the Majority on budget approval on Wednesday, November 29.

The Minority Caucus, however, appealed the verdict and chose a headcount, causing the Majority group to organize a walkout.
The Speaker, Alban Bagbin, then stated that a headcount vote on the acceptance of the government’s economic strategy and budget statement will be held today, December 7, to clear the way for the adoption of budget estimates.
