At the 2023 Hip Hop Awards, Black Sherif, the current Ghana Artiste of the Year, earned his first BET award in the Best International Flow category.
Nine other well-known rappers were eliminated from the competition by Black Sherif. The late South African opponents Aka and K.O as well as Sampa The Great of Zimbabwe were significant competitors. Among the international candidates were Gazo (France), Central Cee (UK), J Hus (UK), Major Rd (Brazil), Ninho (France), and Tasha & Tracie (Brazil).
With this victory, Black Sherif receives his first BET award, furthering his illustrious career. He was previously nominated in the same “Best International Flow” category in the 2022 edition, but lost out to Benjamin Epps.
