Joy News checks at the Police station revealed that the victims were among several residents who had gathered at the police station to demand the release of seven other colleagues.
Their colleagues were earlier Monday taken into custody in Buipe, Central Gonja, for their alleged involvement in some riots that resulted in the burning of some homes.
To safeguard lives and property, the 155 Armoured Regiment of the Ghanaian Armed Forces has taken control of the Damongo police stations.
