In connection with the recent bullion van robberies in Accra, two additional people have been charged.
The two, General Constable Nelson Tetteh and Badu Zakari, alias Rasta, a mechanic, were charged in Evelyn Asamoah’s court last Tuesday.
Four police recruits had already been charged in connection with the crime: Constable Yaro Afisu Ibrahim, Constable Albert Ofosu alias Cypher, Constable Richard Boadu aka Osor, and Constable Rabiu Jambedu.
The substantive charge against the four was changed to include the two accused people when the case was called.
Charges
Constables Yaro Afisu Ibrahim and Albert Ofosu, alias Cypher, have pleaded not guilty to the attempted robbery charges.

G/Constable Richard Boadu, nicknamed Osor, G/Constable Rabiu Jambedu, G/Constable Nelson Tetteh, and Badu Zakari pled not guilty to the allegation of abetment.
Custody
They’ve been remanded in jail and are due back in court on June 2nd.
The prosecution, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sylvester Asare, has been given till May 30 to file its disclosures and witness testimony.
Justin Terriwajjah, David Bondorin, Jango Huhu, Devine Dotse Tettey, and Andrews Kudzo Vortia, lawyers representing the accused, took turns pleading for bail for their clients.
The judge, however, placed them in police custody after the prosecution vigorously rejected their plea.
