Eleven people are receiving emergency medical treatment following a road crash on Tuesday night at Eduadjei, along the Cape Coast-Takoradi Highway.
The accident, which occurred around 7:15 PM, involved a head-on collision between an Opel Astra (WR 4860-13) and a Nissan Mini Bus(CR 1414-23).





While bystanders managed to rescue ten passengers who were on board the Nissan Mini Bus, it took the specialized efforts of the Komenda Fire Station rescue team to extricate the driver of the Opel Astra, who was trapped in the wreckage.
The Deputy Public Relations Officer for the Central Regional Command of the Ghana National Fire Service, DOIII Ebenezer Fiifi Daadzie, detailing the incident to the media, said: “All eleven victims, comprising nine males and two females, are currently at the Elmina Polyclinic.”
Fire personnel have since cleared the debris to restore traffic flow, while investigations continue to determine the exact cause of the crash.
