One individual was killed in an accident involving a military vehicle at the Custom Barrier in the Bawku West District of the Upper East Region. Three more people have been injured.
The truck slammed into businesses and containers on its way from Bolga to Bawku.
According to eyewitnesses, the truck hit a pothole, forcing the driver to lose control and go off the road.
A motor rider traveling in front of the military truck was struck from behind, killing him instantly. Three military personnel were hurt as a result of the incident.
After the vehicle rammed into their businesses and screeched to a standstill, some sellers fled for safety.
Motorbikes parked on the side of the road were also damaged.

The incident generated a large traffic jam, but the Zebilla District Police Command, NADMO, and military quickly came to control the situation.
Meanwhile, residents of Zebilla are pleading with the contractor working on the Bolga-Pulmakom road, Quiroz Galvao, to promptly repair speed ramps in the township to prevent similar accidents.
